Position Overview and Responsibilities:

This role serves as the division’s administrative point of contact, managing communications, schedules, and daily office operations. A key focus is fiscal support, which includes coordinating travel through the Statewide Travel Management System and processing procurement transactions via MyFloridaMarketPlace and the State Purchasing Card (P-Card).

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of and ability to access Florida statutes, administrative code, as well as how to apply them to State Personnel System programs.
  • Proficiency in specialized state systems including People First, MyFloridaMarketPlace, and the Statewide Travel Management System.
  • Proficiency in advanced features of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc).
  • Ability to organize information and prepare clear and concise executive summaries, white papers, and briefing documents;
  • Ability to use office software applications to perform duties and conduct routine research using the Internet and other computer-based analysis and trend forecasting tools.
  • Possession of interpersonal skills and ability to interact with a diverse mix of internal and external customers.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Three (3) years of administrative or clerical experience in an office setting; or
  • An associates degree from an accredited college or university and one year of administrative or clerical experience in an office setting.
