Varsity Boys Soccer Head Coach
Position Overview:
St. Petersburg Catholic High School (SPCHS) is seeking a passionate, dedicated, and mission-driven Varsity Boys Soccer Head Coach to lead and grow our program. This individual will be responsible for developing student-athletes both athletically and personally while fostering a competitive, disciplined, and faith-centered team culture.
Primary Responsibilities:

Lead all aspects of the varsity boys soccer program, including planning, organizing, and conducting practices and games

Build and sustain a competitive program that reflects the values and standards of SPCHS

Mentor student-athletes in sportsmanship, leadership, accountability, and character development
-
Collaborate with JV and feeder programs to ensure program alignment and long-term growth
-
Maintain consistent and professional communication with players, parents, faculty, and administration
-
Manage scheduling, travel, uniforms, equipment, and inventory
-
Ensure compliance with FHSAA, diocesan, and school policies
-
Supervise assistant coaches and support staff

Promote the program within the school and local community to increase participation and visibility

Encourage and assist student-athletes in pursuing opportunities to play at the next level
Program Development Expectations:

Build strong relationships with local club and academy programs to enhance recruiting and player development

Establish off-season opportunities including camps and training sessions
-
Create a culture of commitment, accountability, and pride in representing SPCHS
-
Support multi-sport athletes while encouraging soccer development at a high level
Qualifications:
-
Previous high school, club, or collegiate coaching experience preferred (club coaching experience strongly preferred)

Strong knowledge of soccer strategy, training methods, and player development

Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and communication skills

Commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education

Ability to motivate and connect with high school student-athletes

Must complete all required diocesan clearances and certifications
