Your Specific Responsibilities:

This position provides administrative support for the Office Operations Manager. This position is based in Bradford County but may require travel to Union County. Answers the telephone and makes appointments for patients for all clinic services. Ensures charts are properly prepared for clinics including auditing charts monthly for documentation compliance and financial eligibility process is done correctly. Determines financial responsibilities of clients based upon services received and payment status of client; collects fees for services rendered and provides receipts to clients. Processes credit card payments and required daily reports. Ensures new employees are trained according to proper guidelines and procedures. Serves as a resource for other front desk staff members. Responsible for submitting family planning reports, monitoring family unknown income and ethnicity and attending Family Planning trainings and conference calls. Serve as Deputy Registrar under the supervision of Chief Deputy Registrar. Read & respond to email on a daily basis. Other duties as assigned including disaster preparedness. Responsible for securing the designated information sets for the purposes of protecting confidentiality, data integrity and appropriate access, for all information, both confidential and public record, that is stored in hard copy or electronic formats. Follows Department and local security policies.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledge and experience with clerical duties in an office setting.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Customer Service skills.

Qualifications:

Must be a current Florida Department of Health employee.

Minimum 12 months front desk experience working in a public entity model, FQHC

Experience scheduling appointments in a multi-provider clinic using an electronic medical record system.

Experience determining eligibility for government assisted programs.

Experience with the State of Florida Vital Statistics system.
