The Medical Assistant will support a high-volume primary care clinical setting by assisting physicians and clinical staff in delivering efficient, patient-centered care. This role is responsible for both direct patient support and clinical/administrative functions to ensure smooth daily operations within the clinic.
The ideal candidate will be experienced in primary care environments and comfortable performing routine clinical procedures, patient intake, and assisting providers during examinations and treatments.
Take and record patient vital signs and medical histories accurately
Prepare examination rooms, ensuring cleanliness, sterilization, and proper setup
Assist physicians during patient examinations and minor procedures
Perform clinical procedures including phlebotomy, EKGs, and injections as directed
Support patient intake, rooming, and workflow coordination in a fast-paced primary care environment
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic medical records (EMR) systems
Ensure compliance with clinical protocols, infection control standards, and patient safety guidelines
Provide high-quality patient interaction and communication throughout the visit
Support front and back-office clinical operations as needed
Multitask effectively across patient care, documentation, and clinical support duties
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA or equivalent certification required)
Prior experience in primary care or outpatient clinical settings
Experience performing vitals, phlebotomy, injections, and basic EKGs
Strong understanding of clinical workflows and patient care procedures
Strong communication and patient interaction skills
Ability to multitask in a high-volume clinical environment
Technical proficiency in EKGs and clinical support procedures
Experience preparing exam rooms and maintaining sterilization standards
Team-oriented with strong attention to detail and reliability
Comfortable supporting both clinical and administrative workflows
Pay Details: $23.00 to $24.00 per hour
