Job Description:

Abides by American Nurses Association Scope, Standards, and Code of Ethics, participating in practice changes, process improvement initiatives, and completing all required education. Verifies orders and facilitates implementation, communicating with physicians as needed; performs treatments and administers medications according to policy and training. Follows CDC isolation guidelines, appropriately uses PPE, and performs hand hygiene according to accepted standards of care. Other duties as assigned. Learns and upgrades skills, utilizing knowledge to assist with orientation, training, and education of new personnel. Participates in quality and performance improvement activities, accurately documenting and monitoring activities as needed. Produces accurately written, promptly completed medical records based on scope and complexity of the intervention procedure and patient clinical conditions. Assesses and interprets diagnostic data relative to patient age and condition, including lab results, non-invasive monitoring data, and interdisciplinary team notes. Applies knowledge and skills pertaining to all diagnoses, procedures, medications, complications, and equipment associated with unit patient population. Completes timely assessments including physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors, including signs of abuse or neglect. Makes appropriate decisions and implements interventions based on nursing diagnoses according to patients' actual or potential health conditions or needs. Sets measurable and achievable short and long-range goals for patients, developing and implementing individualized plans of care. Prioritizes and completes follow-up assessments, evaluating and modifying plans of care as needed.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of ECG training and arrhythmia interpretation [Required]
Knowledge of Cardiovascular anatomy [Required]
Knowledge of Vascular anatomy [Required]
Knowledge of hemodynamic monitoring and physiology [Required]
Ability to communicate appropriately and effectively with patients and their family, hospital staff, nurses, physicians, and other health care professionals [Required]
Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in the health care industry [Required]
Ability to monitor patient blood pressure, ECG, and Pulse Oximetry using sophisticated clinical equipment [Required]
Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office [Required]
Must be able to read, write and speak conversational English [Required]
Knowledge of advanced levels of ECG training and arrhythmia interpretation [Preferred]
Knowledge of electrophysiology diagnostic procedures [Preferred]
Knowledge of interventional radiology procedures [Preferred]
Knowledge of peripheral diagnostic procedures [Preferred]
Knowledge of peripheral interventional procedures [Preferred]

Education:
Associate's of Nursing [Required]
Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]

Field of Study:
Medical Assisting, Emergency Medical Technician, Paramedic or Nursing Assistant

Work Experience:
Electrophysiology Lab experience [Preferred]
Interventional Radiology Lab experience [Preferred]
