Coordinate and oversee ground and air medical transport operations across the AdventHealth system and with external partners. Act as a central liaison for physicians, hospital staff, EMS crews, and vendors to ensure timely and appropriate patient transfers. Utilize advanced dispatch systems and clinical acuity algorithms to determine the optimal transport mode and resource deployment. Maintain accurate, real-time documentation and communication across multiple platforms while actively monitoring and directing field units and aircraft to ensure safety and regulatory compliance. Provide administrative and logistical support to care management teams, facilitating smooth transfer workflows. Deliver outstanding customer service and contribute to a collaborative, high-performing team environment.
Updates the status of field units and aircraft, ensuring compliance and timely transport.
Other duties as assigned.
Promptly answers incoming calls, collects pertinent information, and enters required details into the Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) System.
Completes the CAD log with patient demographics and time-stamped events to ensure accurate documentation and adherence to department protocols.
Coordinates with Dispatch Supervisor to determine appropriate resources for transport.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Proficient verbal and written communication skills
Proficient in computer database skills
Proficient in real-time documentation in electronic format
Knowledge of AH policies, procedures, and protocols
Advanced computer skills
Education:
High School Grad or Equiv [Required]
Field of Study:
High School Diploma or Equiv Required
Work Experience:
1 year minimum relevant communications center experience [Preferred]
