We begin your benefits on day one and offer flexibility wherever possible, so that you can be present for your passions. “Orlando Health Is Your Best Place to Work” is not just something we say, it’s our promise to you Responsibilities Essential Functions - Responds to common inquiries or complaints from customers, using appropriate designated engagement techniques. - Cleans and disinfects patient rooms and ancillary areas, to include, but not limited to, bathrooms, public areas, corridors, medication storage rooms as directed and any other areas that may require attention using designated and appropriate chemicals and cleaning procedures. - Accesses and uses all department related technology systems, such as but not limited to, the Bed Management systems, while demonstrating good working knowledge. - Replenishes supplies as needed, removes bio-medical waste, trash, and soiled linen as required daily and changes cubicle/window curtains as needed. - Completes patient room and bathroom cleaning daily to accommodate discharges/admissions and overall cleanliness standards, utilizing the approved procedures for patient room cleaning, to include Bed Management systems where applicable. - Performs duties while demonstrating working knowledge of health care cleaning and disinfecting principles and requirements, proper and safe chemical use, equipment handling, and labor-saving products for all items within the healthcare environment assigned for servicing. - Adheres to all organization safety, risk management, and infection control guidelines and standards while promoting a culture of safety. - Operates UV disinfection machine as needed. - Actively participates in departmental performance improvement initiatives, including but not limited to initiatives to improve customer experience and cleanliness metrics. - Follows all infection prevention practices including proper cleaning and disinfection protocols and processes, hand hygiene, standard and isolation precautions, as well as proper donning and doffing of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). - Recognizes and adheres to patient privacy requirements (HIPAA). - Reports unsafe situations and turnsin Engineering Service Requestsforrepair. - Communicates, reads, and writesin standard English, asthisisthe main businesslanguage. - Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards. - Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures
