Job Description:

• Cleans and disinfects reusable medical equipment according to manufacturer's instructions.

• Reprocesses instrumentation in decontamination, assembly, and sterilization areas under supervision after competency-based training.

• Communicates effectively with all hospital departments and uses the chain of command to resolve issues.

• Develops knowledge by attending in-services and actively participating in orientation programs.

• Unpacks and stores equipment and supplies used in the Sterile Processing departments.

Ability to communicate by reading, writing legibly, speaking, and comprehending English effectively in order to carry out job requirements. [Required]
Ability to understand the needs of the customer and respond to them in a pro-active, courteous, professional, and efficient manner. [Preferred]
