Fleet manager duties and responsibilities
Fleet managers oversee all vehicles owned or leased by a business, nonprofit organization or government agency. They’re often the primary point of contact for drivers, vendors and department leaders who need support related to vehicle scheduling, maintenance and operation. As operational employees, fleet managers often combine administrative responsibilities with direct oversight of fleet performance.

- Ensuring all fleet members meet relevant licensing requirements
- Creating reports related to budgeting, scheduling, maintenance and fleet progress
- Identifying methods to decrease costs and improve efficiency
