General Description/Primary Purpose

The Coordinator supports the operations and initiatives of the Crowley Center for Transportation and Logistics (CCTL) and the Coggin College of Business (CCB) by providing administrative, budget, travel, and event coordination assistance. This position helps ensure the effective execution of center and college activities by supporting financial tracking, coordinating logistics for meetings and events, assisting with travel arrangements, and maintaining office operations. The Coordinator works closely with the Center Director and the Dean’s Office to support faculty, staff, students, and external partners.

Job Functions

BUDGETING & TRAVEL

  • Assist the Center with budget preparation, tracking, and expense monitoring.

  • Ensure compliance with university policies and procedures, and prepare financial reports as required.

  • Coordinate travel arrangements and expense reimbursements for faculty, staff, students, and visitors.

  • As needed, travel with the Transportation Logistics Society (TLS) student club on area site visits.

EVENTS

  • Plan, coordinate, and evaluate CCTL and CCB events, including but not limited to: room reservations, supplies purchases, catering orders, participation on planning committees, and contributing to event agenda and content. Includes the extensive coordination of an annual Intermodal case competition held on-site at UNF.

LIAISON:

  • Serve as a representative for CCTL and CCB, as needed at professional conferences and Jacksonville area business organizations. .

OTHER

  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of the Center and the Dean’s Office.

Required Qualifications

Master's or Bachelor's degree and 2 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219.

Departmental Requirements

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Experience with budgeting and financial tracking software is a plus.
