Labor & Employment Attorney &- 6 Years Experience (Portable Book Required)

About the Opportunity:
A highly respected, full-service regional law firm is seeking a seasoned Labor & Employment Attorney to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior-level attorney with a portable book of business to expand their practice within a collaborative, well-resourced platform. Ideal for a management-side employment lawyer who wants meaningful client responsibility, strategic impact, and practice growth support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Counsel employers on federal, state, and local employment law compliance, including wage & hour, discrimination, ADA, FMLA, workplace safety, and employee relations.

  • Represent clients in employment litigation, including wrongful termination, harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and related disputes.

  • Handle administrative matters before the EEOC, DOL, and other regulatory agencies.

  • Draft and update employee handbooks, employment agreements, HR policies, and compliance programs.

  • Conduct workplace investigations and advise on disciplinary actions, complaints, and risk mitigation.

  • Provide labor relations counseling, including union issues and collective bargaining guidance.

  • Support employment issues in corporate transactions.

  • Maintain and expand client relationships through proactive, strategic business development.

Qualifications:

  • J.D. from an accredited law school.

  • Active Bar admission in Florida or Georgia (or ability to become admitted).

  • Minimum 6 years of Labor & Employment law experience.

  • Demonstrated experience handling employment counseling and litigation matters.

  • Portable book of business required.

  • Strong written advocacy, analytical, and client communication skills.

  • Proven ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with firm leadership and colleagues.
