A Snapshot of Your Day
In this role, you will be finishing, measuring dewax and accelerated aging operations for green molded cores according to daily production requirements. Will process cores and associated routers through the green finishing operations and monitors all equipment systems in the Gibsonton Florida Location.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Trained and signed off on Demonstrated Skills Checklist for Mercury, for green finishing operations.
- Checking the status for each accelerated oven to understand the daily schedule for the number of cores to be finished and processed for their shift, checking the daily demolding schedule to understand the finishing and dewax schedule for their assigned shift.
- Using rotating hand tools, files, band saws and additional hand tools for processing.
- Ability to use calibrated scissor calipers for defined part measurements. Technicians must monitor and maintain good documentation practices to ensure parts are made according to engineering specifications and quality standards.
- Adjust machines, set controls, and perform troubleshooting as required by operational and quality criteria. Request work orders for any equipment not operating to standard. Ensure all equipment calibration is current and documented.
- Other duties may be assigned and cross-training as needed.
What You Bring
- Evidence of a completed High school graduate or GED is required.
- Ability to read Engineering instructions and demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
- Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
- This position will require an export license from the Department of Commerce, Bureau of Industry and Security, and/or the Department of State, Directorate of Defense Trade Controls. Issuance of any required license is a prerequisite for this position. The candidate must be able to work with export-controlled technology in accordance with US export control law.
