The Finance & Insurance (F&I) Manager is responsible for assisting customers with the purchase and lease of vehicles by securing financing options and offering appropriate aftermarket products such as extended warranties, insurance products, and vehicle protection packages. The F&I Manager ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations and maintains the highest level of customer satisfaction while maximizing dealership profitability.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Knowledgeable in state regulations regarding finance and the Fair Credit Reporting Act and local laws related to automotive financing (e.g., Truth in Lending, Privacy Act, Red Flags Rule).
  • Present and explain vehicle financing options to customers.
  • Obtain credit approvals and prepare all necessary documentation.
  • Work with financial institutions to secure the best financing terms for customers.
  • Accurately complete and submit all financial paperwork.
  • Present and sell vehicle insurance products, including extended warranties, service contracts, and other ancillary products.
  • Ensure all insurance paperwork is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all financial transactions comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of current automotive finance and insurance regulations.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with dealership and brand policies.
  • Address customer concerns and questions promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction, aligning with company standards.
  • Maximize dealership profitability through the sale of finance and insurance products.
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase product penetration and sales.
  • Monitor and report on F&I performance metrics and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Stay current on industry trends and best practices, including brand-specific programs and offerings.
  • Structures deals in accordance with lender and dealership guidelines
  • Performs credit interview, prepares credit application
  • Verifies accuracy of all material information on the credit application and submits to lender
  • Goes over deals with lenders and works all deals diligently
  • Maintains a call-in log and contracts in transit log (funding package)
  • Reviews funding packages prior to mailing
  • Analyzes credit reports, able to recognize a conventional deal and turns over accordingly
  • Meet and exceed goals each month and quarter
  • Additional duties as requested by management.

Schedule:

  • 8-hour shift
  • Day Shift

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as an F&I Manager in an automotive dealership preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive financing, leasing, and aftermarket products.
  • Proven track record of high product penetration and F&I income performance.
  • Excellent communication, persuasion, and negotiation skills.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Working knowledge of dealership CRM/DMS systems (e.g., Reynolds & Reynolds, CDK, Dealertrack).
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
