The County of Volusia is seeking a Projects Coordinator for Recovery and Resiliency. This position is located in DeLand, FL and is a grant funded position. The position will be responsible for assisting with implementation of housing related federal program activities as a result of damage from Hurricane Ian. Specifically, the selected candidate will contact applicants to schedule appointments, receive, review and process program applications, determine client income and program eligibility, prepare client agreements and program assistance estimates, track application status, update internal progress spreadsheets and databases, and assist clients in securing any additional assistance available.
This position is grant funded and will conclude when the scope of the position is no longer necessary.- Illustrative Duties

- Contacts clients to schedule appointments.
- Receives, reviews and processes program applications.
- Determines client income and program eligibility.
- Reviews financial and residence documentation.
- Prepares reports for supervisors.
- Maintains applicant files.
- Tracks applicant inquires and complaints and makes recommendations for resolution to supervisor.
- Updates internal spreadsheets and databases.
- Attends work on a regular and consistent basis.
- Must adhere to Federal, State, County and Local ordinances.
- Responds to emergency situations.
- May be assigned to other locations based upon operational needs.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Minimum Requirements
- Graduation from high school or Vo-Tech school or possession of a GED; AND two (2) years' experience in project/contract management. A comparable amount of education, training, or experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications. The preferred candidate, having met the minimum requirements, will have experience implementing federal and state grants.
- Must possess and maintain a valid Florida driver's license. - Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Physical Demands: Ability to stand, lift (40 lbs.), stooping, crouching, pulling, pushing, kneeling, reaching overhead, climbing, crawling, bending, reaching, hearing and visual acuity (peripheral vision, depth perception) necessary to operate a motorized vehicle.
Environmental Demands: Both inside and outside work. Ability to tolerate wind, heat, humidity, cold, dust, fumes, odors, rain. May involve exposure to closed, confined spaces, chemicals, and biting insects.
Mental Demands: Ability to read and comprehend technical manuals, safety instructions and procedures, schematics, blueprints, layouts, instructions, memos, contracts, grants and letters. Ability to perform shop math. Ability to write instructions, summaries, reports, memos, letters. Ability to speak clearly and concisely.
