Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
- Strong quantitative skillsets to support coastal/waterfront projects, including beach nourishment and/or coastal structures.
- Independently conduct engineering analyses and apply coastal engineering tools for the design and formulation of resilient coastal protection projects.
- Contribute to project teams in conducting the design process for engineering projects from conceptual design to detailed final designs.
- Prepare standard contract documents, such as technical specifications, engineering reports, regulatory applications, and other technical documents.
- Participate in business development activities and write proposals.
- Coordinate work with other coastal engineers and professionals within and outside own discipline and with support services staff.
- Conduct field work including site inspections, surveys, and construction observations. Interpret contract documents and perform contract administration.
- Manage individual tasks and small projects while also working collaboratively as part of a team for larger or multi-disciplinary projects.
- Independently manage multiple project schedules and deliverables
- Bachelor's degree in Coastal or Civil Engineering required.
- Professional Engineer license.
- 15 years of relevant experience.
- AutoCAD and Civil 3D experience.
- Familiar with coastal processes modeling and hydraulic software.
- Demonstrated ability to work with diverse data sets. Demonstrated technical and analytical skills in designing projects.
- Willingness to travel in support of business and project activities.
